The Farmington Fairy Museum of Natural Wonder was commissioned by the University of Maine and the Maine Arts Commission for the Sweatt-Winter Childcare and Early Education Center in 2024. It is the tiniest teaching facility and cultural institution on the University of Maine’s Farmington Campus. In keeping with UMF’s long tradition of teaching teachers, it is a kid-curated space. In keeping with the on-site pre-school’s nature-based curriculum and incredible adjacent nature-playgrounds, it is devoted to the study of fairies and other natural wonders.
